PoE-Passthrough AC Mesh Pro

Moin,

Matthias

uci set system.gpio_switch_poe_passthrough.value=1
uci commit system
/etc/init.d/gpio_switch restart

oder per GUI mit LuCI

Moin,

„…Dual Gigabit Ethernet Ports The primary port is for data and PoE; the secondary port is for bridging…“

Bist Du sicher, was die Funkeigenschaften angeht ?

(09:42:05 PM) Christian: Hello, the unifi-ac-mesh-pro-ap has two ports. main rj45 port for lan uplink and poe power, and a secondary port.
Is it possible to power a second device over the secondary port?

(09:44:28 PM) Vann T.: Hello there.
(09:44:33 PM) Christian: that we have only one uplink cable
rj45 cable → unifi-ac-mesh-pro-ap → rj45 cable → anoter unifi-ac-mesh-pro-ap
(09:44:41 PM) Christian: is this possible?
(09:45:56 PM) Vann T.: Let me check.
(09:48:14 PM) Vann T.: The secondary port on mesh pro will not provide Poe.
(09:48:26 PM) Vann T.: You will need Poe injector to power the other device.
(09:48:49 PM) Christian: so we need another cable to the roof?
(09:55:27 PM) Vann T.: Yes, correct.
(09:59:26 PM) Christian: Strange hardware concept that provides a secondary port that do not support poe powering of another device. I think this is a nice feature for the next hardware version.
(09:59:47 PM) Vann T.: Thanks for your suggestion.
