Dear Freifunk community,
we’d like to broaden our public relations efforts a bit and are looking for support with that.
Specifically, this involves two areas:
Mastodon (social.freifunk.net)
For our Mastodon account, we’d like to have a small team that:
- boosts interesting posts from the communities (especially announcements)
- promotes articles published on freifunk.net
- shares smaller news items or tips that don’t warrant their own article.
So it’s less about „constant social media fire“ and more about curating, making things visible, and networking.
Articles on freifunk.net
On the freifunk.net homepage, the latest article is prominently displayed. It would be great to have about 3–6 posts per year, for example:
- Reports from communities
- Announcements (events, releases, initiatives)
- Explanations or background pieces
- Retrospectives or outlooks
This doesn’t have to be handled by a single person — quite the opposite: we’d love it if several people occasionally contributed something.
